The Hiker © 1999

I drove my truck on high clearance and 4-wheel drive roads several miles into a remote and primitive wilderness area near the northern border of Arizona to set up camp. I got up at 4 AM so I’d have time to hike in to these beautiful wind carved sand stone walls and be able to shoot during morning light. A fellow hiker allowed me to depict the scale and depth of these incredible formations.
