I found this old abode in rural Provence and was struck by the geometry of the windows and doors in the stone facade. I decided on black and white and this composition to accentuate the geometry, texture and tones. Although I like it as a straight black and white image I decided to maximize the design aspects by selectively coloring only the shutters and door. This artistic license really adds a radiance and communicates the feel I wanted with this image.
