Ascension © 2004

I camped near some narrows in a canyon region of the California desert so I could reach this slot shortly after sunrise. Having studied this slot canyon earlier I knew I wanted to capture the feeling I had of ascending towards the light coming through the top. So I used this upward angle which also accentuates the cool rocks’ ascension to the warm light.
